Your Name:
Russell G. Sewell (I'll answer to RG, Russ, Rusty, or Hey You!)
Your Location: (City, State):Woodruff, S.C.
What you do: Writer and illustrator of "When Foxes
Fly", and "Lost Legends of Whoelterran".
Your Interests: Sharing Christ; my family; telling stories; art; fantasy; sci-fi; movies; video games; music; history; and last but not least, dreams.
Your dislikes
1. Blasphemies uttered by people who think they're funny
or smart;
2. Vendettas against Christianity and the "political correctness"
which says it's okay;
3. The warped logic which professes tolerance for all religions, but then desperately
fights the public practice of fundamental Christianity.
4. The mistaken notion that a person can't have a sense of adventure, fantasy,
or creativity without using references to witchcraft, mysticism, or pagan religions.
Your favorite bands: I like so many kinds of music, it's
hard to say. I like Eden's Bridge, dc talk, Pillar, and POD. (In my younger
days, I liked Journey and STYX. I've changed a lot). There are times that I
like classical, and easy listening like Kenny G.
Your favorite writer: Again, wide and varied. Top of the
list would be Tolkien, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Samuel Clemens, and Aesop, (although
I wouldn't claim to be an expert on any of them)

of the Bible; Jesus Freaks; The Hobbit; The Lord of the Rings; Aesop's Fables;
Tom Sawyer; The Hound of the Baskervilles.
Favorite Comicbooks: When I was in my teens, I collected Fantastic Four; Spiderman; Hulk; Thor; Avengers; X-Men; Defenders; and Iron Man. Before my teens it was Superman; Batman; Flash; Teen Titans; and Doom Patrol.
Your favorite hobbies: When I'm not working on art or
writing, I like to do a little flower gardening when I'm able. (my daughter
actually does most of the gardening).
Your secret origin' (Why you're a Christian, artist, etc)
Well, I came to Christ when I was twelve years old.
After that, I made a lot of foolish choices and didn't really get serious about
my Christianity until I was forty-two years old. I know what it's like to search
for a long time.
As far as comics are concerned, I've been drawing since before I could walk.
Didn't really show any talent, though, until I was thirteen. Through my teens
I got better and better, and by the time I was ready for college, I had decided
that I wanted to be a comic book artist and/or animator.At
the University of S.C. I studied fine art and media arts. Then a bunch of situations
went bad, and the next twenty years I supported my family doing anything but
art.
In the year 2000, I became practically bedridden. My neurologist diagnosed multiple sclerosis, and I stayed in bed for almost two years. I fought my way back and when I was finally able to sit at my drawing table, I began to paint better than ever before. What's more, I began to write. Never really considered myself a writer before, but now it has become a part of who I am. I'm still trying to recover, but my spirit flies faster than ever. What I contribute to Cyberlight are some of the results of these battles, and this is only the beginning.
Your future plans in comics: Lots of pages for Cyberlight,
and perhaps if some publishing opportunities arise.............
Favorite Bible verse: Proverbs 3 : 5 Trust in the Lord
with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;
