Now that things are back up and running, I've begun some prelim drawings on Static Flux. While I'm not 100% if I'm going to be doing it or not, I want to keep it going for now. Most of you will notice that this is basically the same pose and look that Robbie had going on, just with a little change or two from yours truly. You can see that new drawing right here or go to http://jcservant.deviantart.com . Keep your eyes right here for more Static Flux and Wildlight updates!!

Salutations.

As I mentioned in my last blog entry, over a month ago, we were closing on our house. That finally happened about two weeks after that post. After that, we began the moving in process. I never realized how much work there was to moving in! To make matters worse, it took us almost a whole month just to get internet up and running. Then, my computer took a dump. Needless to say, this has been one of the more stressful times in my life.

However, God is blessing us. I've got a temporary computer up and running while my main computer is in the shop. Our internet is also finally connected. By God's grace, I have even managed to put together my drawing table, which was all but destroyed by the movers.

While we still have plenty of house work and unpacking to do, the pieces are in place for us to get rolling again on comics. I spent this weekend totally updating the website, and catching up our official email inbox (We get a lot of mail). So...keep your eyes here, and you never know what will pop up!

Salutations!

Well, it looks like we are going to close on our house next week. Woot! I can hardly wait. Unfortunately, it's going to take longer to actually get our stuff moved from storage. The next three week (I estimate) will be spent getting necessities for our house, and getting unpacked. As I said, I can hardly wait. One of the largest reasons I can hardly wait, is so I can get back to hitting the pen and paper, so to speak. At least I can work on writing in the hotel room.

At any rate, Our artist had an emergency that's going to knock him out of commission for months or longer. So, I am open to any artists that might want to take on this awesome story. I don't want to put the plot details on the internet for everyone to read (That would take away the fun)... but if there's a good artist that wants to work on this, just send me some sample of your work, and I'll write you back if the style looks like it would fit the story well.

While this may slow down this effort, I am trusting in God it will come to fruition in his timing. Until then, I will continue to update this blog with new concept drawings, story ideas and more for both Static Flux and Wildlight.

Well, another week, and we continue to work hard on our new projects and what not. I'm continuing to add new plots and characters to our story. I haven't heard from Robbie for a few days, but I did get a picture or two from him. Soooo, I figured instead of ranting for another week about some character or whatnot, I'd toss out one of the pics he sent to me. Tell me what you think! Salutations!!

Well, I've been working pretty hard to get things set up in Utah. After much effort, I was able to get the web site update yesterday. Today, I've been working on some story line stuff for Static Flux. I'm liking what I have done so far, and spent some time making up a good story for the main antagonist. After all, I think readers should be able to relate to villan, so to speak.

Robbie will probably be posting some art up here soon...so keep your eyes peeled. He's got some wicked stuff. By the way, we're looking for this to be a 12 issue mini series. Depending on how well it does, who knows what the future will hold. Aside from that, I got few new Wildlight pics done for the next issue. It's going to be a double issue, and I expect to have it done by the end of next month. Fun times!!

Salutations!

We have a couple of new titles coming up. First, Laz is working on a retelling of David and Goliath. This story has been told and retold numerous times. However, Laz's artwork has always been tres pretty. And, he's working on some new style that will certainly take this one to the next level. I've even agreed to help with coloring chores for this awesome project.

Next, Robbie and I are working on a new title called "Static Flux." I don't want to give away too much on this one just yet. However, I can give you a few items. First, Robbie's artwork has always been nothing short of 'professional' and 'muy pretty.' Second, I'll be doing the bulk of the writing chores, though we are working together on some of the main plot points. Keep your eyes right here on this blog for more information, and even some pics!

Finally, I'm hoping to get restarted into Wildlight this next week. After relocating to two major US cities (Memphis and Salt Lake), and spending time recovering, I'm finally starting to feel better and back up to working again on drawing.

So keep your eyes here! If you want to chat with us, feel free to drop by our boards!
