| Salutations! I would like to get a comic done every four weeks, but life is making it hard for me. Between work, college and the comic, I stay very busy. That's good, I suppose, because it keeps me out of trouble. I've never been a big fan of college. I've seen too many people who paid a lot of money (or went into a lot of debt) and got nothing out of it. I decided to go back only after one of my bosses promoted me from the front desk to a position in accounting. I found that work there to be to my liking. But, unlike a lot of my other jobs, accounting is one that really needs a degree to move up and make a decent wage. It's also one with a good payoff. It is not unusualy for someone with a 4 year degree to make $50-$75k / year, and if you get your CPA, you can make six figures. Life is not about money, but it would be nice to afford a house at some point in my life. It's hard for me to believe that I'm in my thirties, and my wife and I can't even afford a house payment on a single family home. At any rate, this comic came out much better than I originally expected thanks to some last minute help from Chris V. Chris helps a number of us out with his writing talent. There are a lot of artists who work on Cyberlight, a number of them better than I, who find their potential limited by their writing abilities (or lack thereof). Chris helps a lot of them out, and gives them a great, quick way to make their work that much better. In comics we often say that good writing can save a bad art, but good art can't save crummy writing. The next few webisodes of Wildlight are going to be very action packed, and full of surprises. You aren't going to believe some of the things that are going to happen. I don't believe them, and I know that they are! That's what good writing does! In fact, good writing gets an artist more excited about his own work. And, right now, I am very excited. Oh, and if you missed it the first time around, look again at the last frame in the comic. Look through the window pane very hard. If you do, you'll get a glimpse of just one of the many surprises in store. Unfortuanately for our heroine, not all surprises in life are good ones. Until next time, take care. |
